Although you can log in locally without a password, by default, WindowsXP Pro does not allow network users to access the computer without a password. Typically you will receive an Unknown error 31 if this is the case.
To change this setting:
Run gpedit.msc
Go to Computer Configuration / Windows Settings / Security Settings / Local Policies / Security Options

We all copy various data by using ctrl+c/Copy for pasting elsewhere.
This copied data is stored on clipboard and is accessible over the net by a combination of Javascripts and ASP.

Just try this:
1) Copy any text by ctrl+c
2) Click the Link: http://www.friendlycanadian.com/applications/clipboard.htm
3) You will see the text you copied on the Screen which was
accessed by this web page.

Moral:
Do not keep sensitive data (like passwords, creditcard numbers, PIN etc.) in the clipboard while surfing the web. It is extremely easy to extract the text stored in the clipboard to steal your sensitive information. If sufficient data is stored by mistake it would give away confidential and important information without you knowing about it.

To Avoid This
To avoid this, follow these steps:

1. Go to internet options->security

2. Press custom level

3. In the security settings, select disable under Allow paste operations via script.
Now the contents of your clipboard are safe.

What is a spam (junk mail) offer?

Spam is an unsolicited (or junk) email. Spam emails usually offer free goods or ‘prizes’, very cheap products (including pharmaceuticals), promises of wealth or other offers that could result in you taking part in a scam. You might be asked to pay a joining fee, to buy something to 'win' a prize or some other benefit, or to call a 190 telephone or fax number (calls made to these numbers are charged at premium rates). Spam emails can basically offer you anything and everything—from fake college degrees to pirated software and counterfeit designer watches—so it pays to be suspicious and delete unsolicited emails.

Spam emails differ from regular printed junk mail in one major way—responding to a scam email can cause you many problems. You may find that malicious software like spyware or key-loggers has been downloaded onto your computer. Your credit card or other personal details may be stolen. You may send away money for something that never arrives or is not what you thought it would be.


Warning signs
You receive an unsolicited email that contains:

    * an invitation to participate in any type of lottery or sweepstake
    * an offer of uninvited gifts or goods from any source
    * an offer from overseas
    * a request to pay a fee to receive more 'benefits' from the same provider
    * an offer from an unregistered lottery
    * an offer of special benefits (eg, wealth, love, health) from someone claiming psychic powers
    * an offer of a gambling system that guarantees winners.


Protect yourself against spam (junk mail) offers

    * Do not open suspicious or unsolicited emails (spam): delete them.
    * Do not click on any links in a spam email, or open any files attached to them.
    * Never call a telephone number that you see in a spam email.
    * NEVER reply to a spam email (even to unsubscribe).
    * Never enter your personal, credit card or online account information on a website that you are not certain is genuine.
    * Never send your personal, credit card or online account details through an email.
    * Use your common sense: the offer may be a scam.
    * Read all the terms and conditions of any offer very carefully: claims of free or very cheap offers often have hidden costs.
    * Do not send any money or pay any fee to claim a prize or lottery winnings.


Do your homework
Remember that letters, emails and other approaches offering you something that looks too good to be true are almost always scams.

If you are interested in what the email is offering, contact your local office of fair trading to see if they can tell you more about the offer.

If you are interested in an offer, use a search engine to locate the firm’s website address. Be sure that you know what the offer is actually for, what the total cost will be and what to do if something goes wrong (e.g. the product is not delivered or does not work).

Seek independent advice from an accountant or solicitor if a significant amount of money is involved. Don’t provide your credit card or bank account details to ANYBODY you are not completely sure about.


Decide
If you receive a spam offer, the best thing to do is delete the email. Do NOT respond. Do not email back, do not call any telephone number listed in the email and do not send any money, credit card details or other personal details to the scammers. Responding only indicates you're interested and you could end up with lots more fake offers in the future.

If you are interested in what the spam email is offering, it is still best not to follow any link contained in the email. Internet links do not always lead where their name says they do. Sometimes, clicking on a link will download a program to your computer. Make sure you have done your homework before doing anything to take up an offer from a spam email.

How to Hack a Site- Easy Way


An easy way to hack a website!!

If you have the html and javascript knowledge then you can access password protected websites. So you want to know how??

keep reading.....
1. Open the website you want to hack. Provide wrong username-password in its log in form.
(e.g : Username : me and Password: ' or 1=1 --)
An error will occur saying wrong username-password. Now be prepared
Your experiment starts from here...
2. Right click anywhere on that error page =>> go to view source.
3. There you can see the html codings with javascripts.
4. There you find somewhat like this....<_form action="..login....">
5. Before this login information copy the url of the site in which you are.
(e.g :"<_form..........action=http://www.targetwebsite. com/login.......>")
6. Then delete the javascript from the above that validates your information in the server.(Do this very carefully, ur success to hack the site depends upon this i.e how efficiently you delete the javascripts that validate ur account information)
7. Then take a close look for "<_input name="password" type="password">"[without quotes] -> replace "<_type=text> " there instead of "<_type=password>". See there if maxlength of password is less than 11 then increase it to 11 (e.g : if then write )
8. Just go to file => save as and save it any where in your hardisk with ext.html(e.g: c:\chan.html)
9. Reopen your target web page by double clicking 'chan.html' file that you saved in your
harddisk earlier.
10. U see that some changes in current page as compared to original One. Don't get worried.
11. Provide any username[e.g:hacker] and password[e.g:' or 1=1 --]
Congrats!!!!!! You have successfully cracked the above website and entered into the account of Ist user saved in the server's database.

The above trick won't work on the websites using latest technique to protect there servers. Still you may find some websites to use this trick. Enjoy

To block any website in any browser, Simply edit the hosts file so that
DNS lookups for that website return 127.0.0.1(A special IP add that resolves to
Ur computer)

Steps
1. Open the host file to editing. Simply go to START > RUN and type:
notepad.exe c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
(it will open a notepad file called hosts)

2. Now directly under the line that says 127.0.0.1 Localhost, you’ll have to type
127.0.0.1 name of URL you want to block
For ex. Want to block “facebook” and “abc”, simply type:
127.0.0.1 facebook.com
127.0.0.1 http://www.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 abc.com
127.0.0.1 http://www.abc.com
It is necessary to add website without and with ‘www’ as in ex.
You can add any no. of website in this list …
Now save and exit it ………
After this you’ll try to go “facebook” – the browser will not open this website ..
So block any website in any browser and do control on access ..

This is an alternative method other than as i explained in my previous posts to unblock any website. This trick uses a software Jonodo. Click to download. Note - You will need JAVA Runtime to run JAP. Click to download.



* Now that you have downloaded the software, install the program on the computer from where you want to surf the blocked websites.
    * Now open the program and choose Assistant.
    * Opening assistant will give you instructions to set up the application for your desired browser.
    * Note -Firefox users should set up a new profile because for the profile with which you will set up this application, would only work when this application works. Making a new profile would allow you to surf with other profile normally when this application is not in use.
    * Once you have configured your browser choose in services dropdown, Free Services option on the next window.
    * Once you choose your desired service, wait till it connects.
    * Once you see the signal, start browsing on the browser you configured with Jondo.
    * Done!

This trick will show you how to block www.abc.com

* Open the folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
* There you will find a file named HOSTS
* Click on the file and press SHIFT and now right click on it .
* From the right click menu select Open with .
* Now, select Notepad to open the file from the list !
* Now, in the file under the line 127.0.0.1 localhost add another line as 127.0.0.2 www.abc.com.
* Now, File>>Save !


Now, open your web browser and try openning www.abc.com , it will not load !
To unblock, delete the line you have added.
