Somedays before i faced this problem with my computer due to some virus.I was not able open anything neither task manager neither regedit neither gpedit. Then i searched the net to find the solution .And in the end i found one.
This is what m sharing wid u frnds....
..First of all u have to enable ur regedit if dat will happen it will very easy to do rest.

to do so first of all open your notepad and then write d below written code.

Now after writin this u have to save this file with .inf extension.
Now right click on dat file as click on install option.Mostly it works it will now start your regedit policies.
now if regedit is working to start task manager do as given below--
open regedit
now navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies\ System
Now when u click on system on left side u will see "disable taskmger" on right side now double click on dat and set its value to 0 if its is 1.Surely now ur task manager will also start working.
Finally to enable the gpedit policies
on ur desktop right click on my computer now navigate to advance option now there edit path system variable and its value to
;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem
now save it clicking on ok button...
now gpedit will also start working
